Heute Abend ist es endlich soweit, Janet wird bei den ESPY Awards in Los Angeles zu Gast sein. Die Awards finden im Kodak Theatre statt. Durch den Abend führt Radsport Legende Lance Armstrong. Bei den ESPY Awards werden die besten der besten Sportler ausgezeichnet.

Hey Leute –

Wir geht es Euch? Hattet ihr, wie ich, einen schönen 4. Juli? Ich hatte die Möglichkeit eine schöne Zeit in ATL zu verbringen. Was gibt es bei euch Neues? Ich bin so beschäftigt. Die letzte Woche habe ich in LA verbracht um mein neues Video zu drehen, Director ist Hype Williams. Nelly hat einen Gastauftritt und ich denke ihr werdet es lieben – es ist sehr lustig und komisch.

Ich werde auch beim  diesjährigen ESPY Award dabei sein welcher nächste Woche in Los Angeles aufgezeichnet wird. Es ist das erste Mal das ich dabei bin, es wird bestimmt lustig.  Natürlich werde ich auch bald einige Fotoshoots machen. Giant Magazin, Hollywood Life Magazin and W Magazin mit dem berühmten Fotografen Michael Thompson. Am Ende des Monats bin ich dann in Europa um mein neues Album zu promoten und um das Cover für das V Magazin zu machen mit dem unglaublichen Jean Paul Goode in einer meiner Lieblingsstädte, Paris. Ich bin sehr aufgeregt wegen des Shootings. Ich erzähle euch das nächste mal alles über meinen Trip nach Europa.

Im Moment läuft alles gut, ich bin glücklich und ihr lasst mich jeden Tag wissen wie sehr ihr mich liebt. So, nun ist es Zeit zu gehen, vergesst nicht zu schreiben. Ich freue mich von euch zu hören.

Hi u guys -

How r u? Did you have a great 4th of July? I did. Got a chance to spend some quality time n Atl. So what's new with u? I am so busy. I just spent last week shooting the video in LA with director, Hype Williams. Nelly makes a guest appearance and I think you are going to love it -- its really fun and whimsical.

I'm also getting ready to present at this year's ESPY Awards which tapes in Los Angeles next week. Its my first time doing the show so it should be a lot of fun! And, of course, I have some more photo shoots coming up. Giant Magazine, Hollywood Life Magazine and W Magazine with famed photographer, Michael Thompson. Then at the end of the month I'm off to Europe to promote my new album and shoot the cover of V Magazine with the incredible Jean Paul Goode n 1 of my favorite cities Paris. I'm really excited about that shoot n I'll tell you more about my European trip next time.

But all in all life is so good, I'm so at peace and you guys let me know every day how loved I am. Well, its time to go, but don't forget to write. I love hearing from u. Enjoy the summer....see u soon!

COVER ART FOR JANET JACKSON’S NEW ALBUM - 20 YEARS OLD - TO BE TO DESIGNED BY FANS IN ONLINE CONTEST WITH YAHOO!

Tuesday, July 18, 2006 - New York, NY - In an exciting promotion for her upcoming album 20 Years Old, R&B-pop superstar Janet Jackson is asking her fans to submit designs for the album’s cover through a contest held in conjunction with Yahoo! Music. Four winners will see their designs grace the cover of Janet’s new album when the CD hits stores on September 26th.

Beginning July 18th at 12noon PST, for one week, 33 images of Janet will be posted at http://music.yahoo.com/janetjackson Fans can download and "remix" the photographs to come up with their own version of the new album's cover. Designs submitted to the site will each be assigned a link that users can send to friends and family.

The top four scoring finalists, as determined by Janet, will be declared the contest's grand prize winners, and will see their design appear on selected publicly distributed copies of 20 Years Old. The remaining 16 finalists will be deemed runners-up, and will receive Janet’s entire album catalog on CD.

The design competition promises to stir up anticipation for the release of 20 Years Old, an album that executive producer Jermaine Dupri promises will "blow a new generation of minds" as it marks the anniversary of Janet’s career-making 1986 album, Control. Janet has re-teamed with her original collaborators, legendary hitmakers Jimmy "Jam" Harris and Terry Lewis, for 20 Years Old, which she has described as a celebration of what was going on musically back in the day when Control was released.
The album’s first single is the breezy, laid-back "Call On Me," featuring St. Louis hip-hop star Nelly, which hit radio on June 19th and has already cracked the Top 40 pop chart and is a Top 15 track at urban radio.

Hey u guys -

How are u? How is your summer going? Mine is sooo busy. Video shoots, photo shoots, radio tours and I'm about to start rehearsals soon because if u didn't know, I'll be performing live on The Today Show on Spetember 29th. Stay tuned 4 details on the location. I hope u will join me there.

But before all of that, I'm on my way to D.C. Atlanta and Chicago to do a small radio promotional tour so I can meet some radio program directors and press and talk about my new album. Then I'll be back in New York to shoot the cover for Italian Vanity Fair with the fabulous Ruven Afandaor and then off to Europe. I'm going to London, Berlin and Paris to visit my fans across the seas and do some press and radio interviews and of course experience the nightlife! While in Paris, I'm going to shoot the cover of V magazine with the incredible Jean Paul Goude -- I'm so excited -- Paris is 1 of my favorite cities in the world. So look for me as I'll be looking for u.

After Europe I'll come back to New York to visit BET's 106 & Park on July 31st. Please come n hang out w/ me there and don't forget to catch the world premire of my video on BET's "Access Granted" on July 26th. I hope u like it!
