Promoters Live Nation confirmed to Access Hollywood that the superstar will return to her cross country trek beginning Saturday, October 11 in Uncasville, CT.


“Janet, who has been under her doctor’s care and recuperating over the last week, is excited about getting back on the road and again being able to share with her fans what she feels is one of her best stage shows ever,” Live Nation said in a statement.

Please be advised that due to illness, the Janet Jackson concert performance scheduled for October 16, 2008 at Madison Square Garden has been rescheduled.


The new date for this concert is Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 8:00 p.m.


All tickets marked Thursday, October 16, 2008 will be honored on Saturday, November 1, 2008.

Janet's brother Randy has hit back at reports he revealed all about his sick sister's vertigo.


The Jackson brother insists it was an impostor who broke the bogus news about the cause of the Nasty singer's concert cancellations on a Michael Jackson fansite, not him.


Randy Jackson reportedly wrote, "Janet is doing okay, she suffers from vertigo." But now the real Randy has spoken out, insisting he'd never discuss family health matters online.


In a terse posting on his own website, a spokesman for Jackson writes, "Rumours started by the owner of a Michael Jackson fan site has stated that they had an exclusive interview with Randy Jackson, and during this interview he said that his sister Janet had cancelled shows because she has an illness called "Vertigo."


"Randy has not and will not speak publicly about the health of his sister, or her reasons for cancelling (sic) any of her shows. This "interview" never happened."

Janet Jackson has postponed three more shows because of an undisclosed illness. Her publicist said in an e-mail late Saturday that Jackson was postponing a Saturday show in Greensboro, N.C., one on Sunday in Atlanta and a third on Tuesday in Fort Lauderdale.


A statement from Jackson said she arrived in Greensboro, N.C., hoping to perform there Saturday, but a local doctor advised that she not perform after it became "evident" she was not fully recovered.


Representatives for the 42-year-old singer say she became "suddenly ill" and was hospitalized Monday night in Montreal shortly after she arrived for a show. She also canceled concerts in Boston and Philadelphia on Wednesday and Thursday.


Jackson's publicist did not elaborate Saturday, only saying she was "recuperating." The note said Jackson will return home, at her doctor's direction, for further treatment.


In the note Jackson asked people to keep their tickets for the postponed shows, and said the promoter is working to reschedule dates.

Due to illness, tonight’s (October 4) Janet Jackson concert at Greensboro Coliseum has been postponed. A recent illness caused the postponement of previous dates on her Rock Witchu Tour in Montreal, Boston and Philadelphia.


Janet arrived in Greensboro hoping to perform tonight in an effort not to disappoint her fans. However, after arriving at the Coliseum it became evident she had not fully recovered. A local doctor advised that she not perform this evening.


Ticketholders are encouraged to hold on to their tickets pending a future announcement regarding the rescheduled date.


Patrons who wish to obtain a refund may doso beginning on Monday, October 6th at their respective point of purchase.

Janet´s stop with her 'RockWitchu' Tour on Oct. 2nd in Philadelphia has been postponed according to a press release from her publicist.


"Janet Jackson on Tuesday postponed two concert tour dates this week after the singer was rushed to a hospital with an unexplained illness minutes before a performance in Montreal. The singer postponed her shows in Boston on Wednesday and in Philadelphia on Thursday due to her illness, her representatives said. Jackson is recuperating and will resume the tour on Saturday in Greensboro, North Carolina, her representatives said."
